Job Summary (GIS Developer – Senior GIS Architect)
- Design, implement, configure, and document multi-environment enterprise GIS architecture (Staging and Production).
- Integrate ArcGIS Enterprise with existing enterprise software, infrastructure, and networks.
- Define system architecture, networking, and storage configurations following best practices for isolation and high availability.
- Assess and recommend necessary licensing and hardware requirements for ArcGIS Enterprise instances.
- Determine server sizing, configuration, ports, and firewall requirements.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Install and configure ArcGIS Enterprise (version 11.3 or higher) on Commonwealth servers.
- Create and maintain detailed logical design diagrams for GIS architecture.
- Design and manage geospatial data infrastructure to ensure data integrity and interoperability.
- Automate GIS environment deployment and maintenance using scripting tools (e.g., Python/ArcPy, PowerShell).
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to GIS analysts on ArcGIS Enterprise administration and monitoring.
- Develop and optimize geospatial databases, services, and applications.
- Recommend and define user account requirements for administration, service accounts, and general users.
- Ensure documentation and best practices are followed for all GIS implementations.
Salary : $125,000 - $175,000
