LHH Recruitment solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant for a Construction company in the Kansas City metro. This role will perform various tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, payroll and general accounting.
Perform various duties including but not limited to, payroll, job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting.
Assist in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Prepare entries and related work papers.
Assist with accounting closing processes.
Perform daily reviews of accounts payable entries.
Assist with performing full cycle payroll.
Compare vendor/subcontractor invoices to purchase orders or contracts to verify quantities, price, payment terms, freight charges, extensions, etc.
Work vendor statements, handle sales tax issues.
Complete vendor credit applications.
Enter and verify purchase orders provided by operations.
Assist in preparing and reviewing documents and processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Prepare various cost/statistical reports for management.
Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
Qualifications
B.S in Accounting
Construction experience is preferred
Willing to work fully onsite
2 years of accounting experience
