What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at LHH?
LHH is partnering with a Fortune 500 innovation company searching for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting key accounting functions. This position is responsible for compiling financial information, processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.
Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and financial reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including balance sheet and income statement preparation.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Manage key accounting functions: cost accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, and accruals
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- CPA certification or CPA eligibility is a plus.
- Experience in public accounting and/or working in a large corporation.
- Familiarity with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Experience with cost accounting and/or international accounting.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 plus bonus. Bonus is dependent upon company and personal performance.
