- Ability to crawl consistently in attics and crawl spaces, ability to climb ladders to roof tops, work outdoors. Ability to use ladders and other company tools
- Must have the knowledge to install all types of heating and air conditioning equipment in all types of situations and locations. Locations will include attics, rooftops, outdoors, crawlspaces and basements.
- Must be able to read installation instructions, wiring and piping schematics to make proper installations. Must be able to write and communicate.
- Must be able to work in extreme job and weather conditions.
- Must be a leader and have the ability to train and give verbal commands to apprentices working under you.
- Must be able to communicate with the customer or contractor in answering questions concerning the job perimeters.
- Must enforce and follow all safety rules, company regulations, safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- This job requires heavy lifting. Must be able to lift 50 to 100#s regularly.
- Must be able to plan and layout jobs and order material to avoid installation delays.
- Must have good customer relations’ and good communication skills. Always presenting a good attitude in the presence of customers.
- Must understand and practice installation code requirements in order to pass code inspections.
- Must be able to design and properly size ductwork for different job situation.
- Must be EPA certified and have the ability to perform recoveries and evacuations.
- Must be able to make decisions, plan and meet goals in completing installations.
- Must present a professional image to our customers at all times.
- Must always be mindful of the customer’s property.
- Must take care of company tools and material and return all unused material to our inventory.
- Must be able to complete all paperwork requirements pertaining to job completion.
- Must report to management any problems created by you for the customer.
- Must learn start-up and testing procedures for all equipment installed.
- Must train any apprentice assigned to you to become an installation mechanic.
- Must have the ability to braze, correctly size and run piping per manufacturers specifications.
- Must learn all new technology as it comes into our operation.
- Promote the company through performance, attitude, and knowledge.
- Must wear PPE
- All other duties assigned as needed.
- EPA Certification
- All candidates are subject to pre-employment drug screenings and background checks
- All applicants shall, unless otherwise described in the job requirements, possess a valid drivers license and shall demonstrate safe driving practice by submitting a recent DMV Safe Driving Record.
