Oxford Solutions is working with a financial client seeking a Compliance Operations Analyst with at least three years of experience in financial services or a related field for a long term contract role. This role is ideal for someone who brings subject matter expertise, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about improving compliance operations and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in daily operations related to: Compliance testing and reviews, General ledger reconciliation, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Risk assessments and financial statement preparation and Internal/external audit validation
- Represent Compliance Operations on bank-wide initiatives and projects, promoting efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deliver highly accurate, quality-driven service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve routine and complex customer issues within defined timeframes and service standards.
- Analyze data and develop logical, timely resolution strategies per stakeholder requirements.
- Mentor and train team members to support cross-training goals and expand departmental capabilities.
- Act as a point of escalation for non-routine or complex issues, ensuring customer service and production goals are met.
- Assist with new product setup, system functionality testing, and test plan execution from an operational perspective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Accounting or Finance preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or a related area
- Strong understanding of operational functions and banking systems
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet concurrent deadlines
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues
