What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estate and Trust Accounting Assistant position at Oxford Solutions?
Direct hire opening with our legal client for an Accounting Assistant. This role will focus on accounting administration for estate and trust accounts. Must be able to work onsite in Aliquippa area of Pittsburgh, PA.
Looking for someone with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with entry level experience or 1 to 3 years of work experience.
Essential Functions
- Provide administrative and clerical support to Attorneys for estate and trust accounts (i.e. filing, mail, reports, recordkeeping, invoices, expenses and bills)
- Input and code transactions in estate and trust administration software.
- Prepare and finalize Inheritance Tax Returns
- Report gains or losses through Estate and Trust administration
- Prepare and finalize various legal documents to be filed throughout the Estate and Trust Administration.
- Request, track and send tax documents needed for a Decedent and/or heirs of an Estate or Trust
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent level of experience.
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Expert Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with estate and trust software would be a plus
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
