Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, manage vendor relationships, and assist with other accounting tasks as needed. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, coding, and check runs.
• Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy in reimbursements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, handling inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with account reconciliations and provide support in other accounting areas as necessary.
• Contribute to the transition towards a paperless and more efficient accounting system.
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Provide backup support for other accounting functions during absences or peak periods.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Uphold company standards for confidentiality and professionalism in all financial matters.
• Proven experience in full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, and payment runs.
• Familiarity with employee expense processing and related policies.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
• Basic knowledge of account reconciliations; experience in other accounting functions is a plus.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in other areas of accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and a willingness to adapt to new systems.
• A 'no task is too small' attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
