Essential Duties:
- Patient Arrival: Manage registration and check-in, verify insurance, and collect co-pays with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Patient Departure: Facilitate the check-out process, provide post-visit instructions, and schedule follow-up appointments or clinical orders.
- Communication: Perform telephone triage, route inquiries, and assist in delivering provider instructions to patients.
- Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow and office efficiency.
- Compliance & Advocacy: Maintain practice compliance with regulatory agencies (OSHA, ODH, TJC, etc.) while supporting patient rights and responsibilities.
- Education: Training in business office activities, computer skills, or medical terminology preferred.
- Experience: Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills, a cooperative work attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
