We’re seeking a JIRA Admin to partner with our client's team and lead the standardization and cleanup of their JIRA environment. This role is essential in optimizing how their teams work, report, and plan across projects.
Scope of Work:
You’ll be responsible for auditing, streamlining, and standardizing JIRA configurations to support scalable project management and accurate reporting. This includes hands-on cleanup as well as establishing best practices and documentation for future governance.
Key Responsibilities:
JIRA Standardization
- Audit and standardize workflows, screens, statuses, and fields
- Create and apply global templates and playbooks for new project setup
- Perform bulk operations to clean up legacy items and improve JIRA hygiene
- Implement automation rules to streamline repetitive tasks
JIRA Dashboards & Reporting
- Develop and optimize dashboards for:
- Cross-project reporting
- Sprint velocity and planning
- Productivity tracking
- Defect and issue analysis
Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
- Create detailed playbooks and configuration documentation
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams as needed
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in JIRA administration, cleanup, and standardization
- Strong knowledge of JIRA workflows, custom fields, screens, and automation
- Skilled in building effective dashboards and cross-project reports
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communicator, capable of documenting processes and providing team guidance
