What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Cook - 9280 Tap House - Full Time/Winter Seasonal - Keystone, CO position at vailresorts.valhalla.stage?
After a long day on the slopes, our guests can find plenty of Keystone restaurants to satisfy their cravings. From fine dining to burgers, pizza to international cuisine, our restaurants are on mountain or just a short walk from the slopes, delicious dining awaits. An Intermediate Cook is expected to have significant prior cooking experience, high volume experience, and above basic knowledge of santitation and guest service. Other job duties include:
- Prepare various foods for various outlets in a timely and correct manner, using proper portion control, proper utensils and equipment, to the standards of the outlet and Health Department.
- Follow prep sheets accurately, work with management to improve or modify existing prep instructions if necessary.
- Maintain a sense of urgency, while remaining flexible and adaptable to situations.
- Read, understand, and follow recipes and standards, work with management to improve/modify existing recipes if necessary.
- Rotate product based on outlet's procedures and maintain a clean & sanitary work station.
- Other duties, including cleaning, stewarding, and other duties as assigned by management.
- Outdoor work may be required.
- Gondola/chair commute may be required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experince working as a cook in a high volume environment
- Previous experience reading, understanding and following recipes and standards
- Desire and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self motivates to resolve issues, to anticipate volumes, and demostrates higher level kitchen/sanitation knowledge.
