Job Responsibilities:
- Guide financial decisions by developing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee budget preparation, including data analysis, schedule creation, and presenting actionable recommendations.
- Manage and report financial conditions by collecting, interpreting, and communicating financial data.
- Supervise accounting operations, such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, cash forecasting, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and present weekly performance reports and administer management incentives and budgets.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee vendor reconciliations and communication to ensure timely resolutions.
- Support audits by organizing documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
- Lead the implementation and development of financial systems and a strong internal control environment.
- Manage contracts and leases, maintaining records of terms, expirations, and renewals.
- Serve as an account administrator for key systems and ensure confidentiality of financial data.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on onboarding, terminations, compliance, and benefits administration.
- Supervise and assign work to accounting staff, following up to ensure task completion.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of accounting experience in a large organization.
- Active CPA license preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively across various levels of an organization.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for accurate financial reporting and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse audiences.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
- Skill in handling pressure, multitasking, and maintaining a professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
